I can't believe that this little lady is already 4 months old! I love being her mama and feel so blessed she's part of my life!
Maya has changed so much this past month. She's realizing her surroundings and loves looking around. She has found her hands and loves sucking on them. She also gets very excited when she sees her bottle and binki. She's a mommies girl and prefer if I hold her. We spend our days looking at books, playing with toys, going on errands, visiting friends and taking naps in my arms. She still loves baths and Lola even decided to join her one night. Neither party was too happy about it. But they both survived. Maya has also started grabbing her toys and putting them in her mouth if she can. Her only dislikes this month are, tummy time and being held by strangers if she can't see me. She has gone on her first road trip to see grandma in star valley and she did so good. She loves going to grandma majors and they have a lot of fun.
Maya is always happy, hardly ever cries and is very low key baby. I love her so much and I still can't get enough of her!

Maya's Birth Story
I feel so so blessed that Maya Grace has made it into this world just as perfect as could be. She made her debut on November 16, 2012 at 5:31 AM weighing in at 7 pounds 4 oz and 19 inches long after I was in labor 16 hours and 1 hour of pusing.
I couldn't be more in love with her and I personally can't seem to get enough of her. I love just holding her and taking every little noise and facial expression in. She is the best baby ever, she is rarely fussy and just loves to be snuggled.
My labor story started a couple days before she was born, after not feeling her move very much and then no movement on the 15th I called the doctor and was told to come in immediataly to labor and delivery. After calling Brandon he rushed home from work and we headed to the hospital at 9 a.m. on the 15th we were both scared that something was wrong with little Maya. They started the stress test on me and sure enough she started having the hick-ups and kicked me big time. She passed her stress test but Dr. Ponder was concerned that her heart rate had dropped a couple of times, she gave us the option of getting induced that day or coming in the next day for another stress test. We choose to get induced not wanting to risk anything and knowing that I would actually have my doctor deliver Maya we decided to have her that day. I was going to try and give birth un-medicated only due to the fact that I have a flat pelivs which could possibly mean a harder time getting her out and possible c-secion. Once we were admitted Dr. Ponder put a cathater with two ballons filled with water up my cervics and I started contracting. I wasn't even two centimeters and an hour in and the pain was too much to handle so I decided to get an epidural and risk having a c-section. Both Brandon and I were happy campers once I was pain free. So we waited for my cervix to dialate to a 4 then they would give me patosin which took forever! I didn't dilate to a 4 until around midnight, once I had patosin things progressed pretty quickly. By 3 a.m. I was dialated to an 8 but started to feel the contrations, so the anastigiologist came in and with the second dose of medication my legs went totally numb, I started shaking uncontrollably, and delevoped a fever. By 4 a.m. I was ready to push, still shaking uncontrollbly the nurse and Brandon held my legs so I could start pushing. Brandon got light headed and decided that was too much to handle so he sat up by my head and gave me moral support. After having an oxygen mask on and throwing up, Dr. Ponder delivered Maya at 5:31, she came out perfect and I was over come with emotion. Brandon cut the umbilical cord, which was so cool to have him do that then they laid our baby on my stomach. Everything was pretty much a blure after that. I don't really remember her laying on me or getting stiched up. I remember hearing her cry for the first time and getting to hold her for the first time. That experience is my number one most amazing life experience, and it probably always will be.
Maya was just so perfect in every single way and I couldn't stop crying knowing that I had a little girl. We love her so much and are so blessed that she is happy and healthy. I'm also so proud of Brandon, he was such a good support to me and was able to stay in the room the whole time. He held my hand while I got the epidural, tried and supported my before I got the epidural and was loving and supportive through everything. We're both so thrilled to be parents and I'm so excited to be on this adventure with my baby girl Maya.
